The people behind Aspira

Aspira is five people. Between them they bring international business, marketing, partnerships, and experience on and off the track, and every driver’s plan is made where those meet.

  • Bay Maddocks

    Co-founder / Director

    Bay Maddocks

Bay is a commercially focused professional with experience across sales, marketing, and brand partnerships in elite sport. She has managed key partnerships with UK Premier League football clubs and national teams, overseeing customer experience, campaign delivery, and the launch of new products.

With hands-on experience in brand creation, content planning, and campaign execution, Bay brings a strong understanding of how visibility, partnerships, and commercial strategy drive performance-led brands. She is particularly skilled at translating commercial objectives into clear, actionable strategies that deliver long-term value. By building meaningful partnerships and creating opportunities off the track, she helps athletes and teams maximise their impact on it.

  • Sophie Groenewegen

    Partnership Coordinator

    Sophie Groenewegen

Sophie is a marketing and communications professional with a master’s degree in Marketing Strategy and Innovation. Her research explored the barriers faced by female racing drivers and how personal branding can help navigate through these barriers. As a former elite-level field hockey player and active amateur racing driver herself, she brings both academic depth and real-world understanding of what it takes to perform in high-pressure sporting environments.

With hands-on experience in sponsorship acquisition and partner event organisation within the Porsche Supercup, Sophie focuses on creating value for both drivers and their commercial partners by helping athletes turn their potential into partnerships, on and off the track.
